Everything Trump does is a self-serving performace, the more grandiose the better. At taxpayer expense, of course. Even when he's forced to do something, he turns it to his advantage. But the rest of us still notice.

After wasting millions of taxpayer dollars defending clearly illegal actions in court, that eventually rules against him, he still manages to slow-walk, hide and obfuscate to the extreme.

For instance, when he was forced to remove his name from the Kennedy Center, he waited until the last minute to start the work, the technical removal was done late, in the middle of the night and hidden from view.

This was supposed to be a very simple process to remove 18 letters. All that was necessary was a rented cherry picker, 1 worker and a trash can.

Instead, 13 workers set up an elaborate scaffold, then waited around until the whole work site was shrouded in secrecy and no one could see the actual act. The letters were removed in the middle of the night, after the court deadline and, days later the wall is still covered up. It shouldn't surprise anyone that he's going to try to keep the wall covered until he's forced to take down the scaffolding. If his defeat is not visible, it didn't happen.

Just out of fiscal responsibility, republicans should start questioning the expense of all his vanity projects, which are clear corruption channeled through no-bid contracts, such as the "renovation" of the reflecting pool, to the tune of $15M so far, which has already been proven useless. Mother nature doesn't care about political power.
